1. Post Graduate Training

Undergraduates in medicine can be trained to specialise in Ophthalmology under the programme. The School of Post Graduate Ophthalmic Studies and Research has accreditation by Royal College of Ophthalmology in London, Royal College of Ophthalomogy in Edinburgh and Royal College of Ophthalmology in Glasgow whereby the School using their facilities of the Hospital and the Institute trains Medical Officers both local and from overseas in courses leading to the degrees of Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmology, London (FRCS Lon), Fellwoship of the Royal College of Ophthalmology, Edinburgh (FRCS Edin) and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmology, Glasgow (FRCS Glas).

2. Research

The School also has a number of research projects currently being carried out both locally and regionally through the Asean Association of Eye Hospitals.
